Description
Ellie is a 13-year-old girl who was adopted through a private adoption. The family was connected with her through a non-profit organization that helps families in crisis. She was nine years old when she was adopted. She 4’11”, 92 lbs, has sandy blonde hair and blue eyes with a slender build. Ellie loves to learn, bake, read, and is good at arts and crafts. She also loves animals.
Ellie wears glasses and has hearing aids. She is tonal deaf to certain tones. She has been diagnosed with ADHD and mild depression.
Ellie is an inquisitive child who likes to read. She is creative, intelligent, talkative, tenacious, polite, and can show great care for animals and people. She often makes things for others as a show of appreciation or support. She likes praise. She also enjoys writing, cooking, cleaning, and anything outdoors! Her big accomplishments this year has been primarily academic. She has become a good student!
Ellie is currently homeschooled and has been homeschooled since September 2018 and has excelled in her academic studies. She enjoys and loves learning.
Ellie seeks praise from others outside of the home.
Ellie would do well with a heterosexual couple or a single parent with a great support system. She would do well with younger siblings, she is a caretaker. Being part of a family with younger siblings she to see the natural progress of growing up, which she missed. It could be healing for her to see the stages of childhood.
We know that adopting a child over the age of 13 could be difficult, but we feel confident that there are parents of all types out there who love kids and would love to add them to their families.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated with them. There are grants out there to help fund your adoption (please requeste that information.) This adoption may qualify for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
