Michael is a Haitian 12-year-old boy, that was adopted from Haiti when he was six years old. He is 5’4” tall and about 100 lbs. He has brown hair, brown eyes, with a slender, athletic build.
Michael is a good young man who loves to be social and active. He is a natural leader in many ways. He is extremely good at any sport that he tries, and he seems to be the healthiest mentally, when he is involved and active. Sports that he loves include soccer, track, football, and wrestling. He is also very bright and learns quickly. He loves to build things and has a very good aptitude for that.
He is described as bright, social, athletic, active, charismatic, creative and can be a great leader with his peers. He is very likable. He has a good heart. His is competitive and likes to have fun with his peers. He is very well liked by his peers; it is easy for him to be social.
The ideal family for Michael would be a two-parent or single parent home (either a heterosexual or same sex couple) with no younger kids, and if females in the home they would need to be older. They are open to various religious experiences.
We know that adopting a child over the age of 9 could be difficult, but we feel confident that there are parents of all types out there who love kids and would love to add them to their families.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated with them. There are grants out there to help fund your adoption (please request that information.) This adoption may qualify for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
