Here is Heather! This sweet girl was abandoned when she was five years old. That must have been so terrifying. She was suggested to have congenital mental retardation. Physically everything else was normal. Her birthday is estimated as being December of 2012. Her update is from April of 2018 and so she could use a new one. Heather was admitted to the hospital for observation to enter the normal parenting process. Initially she was emotional when she was hospitalized and would not eat or drink. Her “Aunt” was very patient with her and she quickly integrated into the family. Initially she couldn’t even take care of even the most basic needs. Now she is able to eat and dress and go to the bathroom although she still needs assistance with other tasks. Heather is a beautiful girl that we hope can find a family soon!
