Meet Kinsley!

*Kinsley is 9 years old, turning 10 in summer 2022.  She was adopted from US foster care and is in need of a smaller adoptive home where she can have more individual attention from her parents.  We are looking for a Christian family with no other children under age 12 and a current (or easily updated) homestudy to adopt this child.  Kinsley finds a lot of comfort in her relationship with God so we would like that to continue in her new home.  We hope her new family will have the time and resources to continue the healing path the first adopted family has worked so hard on.  If this fits your family, and you’re interested in learning more about Kinsley’s need for a new adoptive home, please write to secondchanceinfo@wiaa.org .

Kinsley is a creative child who enjoys crafts and creative arts. She loves to write songs in her notebook.  She loves music generally.  Her family tells us she is a brave little girl who has a lot of courage to try things (such as reading in front of the class) even if she’s nervous.  She has a smile that lights up the room and charms everyone she meets.  She has a quirky and dry sense of humor.  She loves going outside and getting out of the house.  Kinsley is athletic and would love to take gymnastics and/or learn to play soccer!  If you’re familiar with love languages, hers is giving gifts.  She wants to buy everyone gifts or make them gifts or give them her stuff.

This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. You will need to have a current, or easily-updated home study for this adoption.  This is not “rehoming” or “trafficking”, this is a legal secondary adoption.  We are closely monitored at the state and federal level during each adoption through this program.

Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, NY, OR or DE.  If you live in WI, please let us know, as the adoption process may be longer and a bit more expensive than what is listed in our paperwork.  If you have never had a home study before, we cannot help you adopt this child. But we would love to share with you the process of starting a home study so you could be approved for a child in the near future. Please write to us and ask us how to get started! We are only able to work with US citizens living abroad if they are active duty military.

Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated. This adoption may qualify for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
