Description
The England Grant of $2500 may be available for qualifying families.
We have updated information for little Joana. She was born December of 2017. Her diagnoses is Cornelia de Lange syndrome as well as congenital cardiac malformation – high-grade pulmonary stenosis, type II interatrial defect. At the age of 4 months, she underwent a medical interventional procedure – balloon angiovalvuloplasty of the pulmonary valve of the heart, with a very good result.
Our staff upon meeting Joana August of 2024 said the following: “I see some progress from the last time I visited her in October of 2023. She can hold the bottle by herself while eating or drinking from it. She can keep herself upright for quite a long time. She is trying to say syllables. The little girl is an extremely gentle, fragile creature who needs lots of love and cuddles (which are definitely in short supply at the moment), activities and the chance to find her forever family.” For more information contact kathy@wiaa.org. Grant funding in the amount of $2500 is available for qualifying families.
