Description
Gia is a 10-year-old, Indian female that was adopted from an orphanage in India. She is 4’7”, 75 pounds, and has a slender build. Gia is a natural leader, highly intelligent, and a good problem solver. An extrovert at heart, Gia is happiest when she is in the company of other children whether it’s playing games at the park, drawing, dancing, or learning music. Gia learned yoga for several years when living in India and continues to enjoy the practice. environment.
Gia is quite creative and a gifted artist. In addition to drawing and painting, she gets engrossed in sewing clothes for her Barbies, making doll houses from craft supplies, and learning how to design clothes, hair, make-up. She wants to be a fashion designer and a model when she grows up.
Gia looks forward to visiting the Hindu temple on Sundays where she gets to play in open spaces with other children, participate in religious classes, volunteer in the kitchen and enjoy homemade Indian food. One of her favorite pastimes is watching Bollywood movies, music, and dance. This helps her stay connected to Indian culture.
Gia is currently in a single-parent home with no siblings. This family structure is not a good match for her needs since she is used to being in the company of a lot of people. The ideal family for Gia would be a two-parent family with one or more older siblings who can serve as a positive role model for her continued growth and development. There is no preference in terms of the parents’ age, race, religion, geographical location or national and cultural background.
We know that adopting a child over the age of 10 could be difficult, but we feel confident that there are parents of all types out there who love kids and would love to add them to their families.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated with them. There are grants out there to help fund your adoption (please request that information.) This adoption may qualify for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
