Darling Dustin is just waiting for his forever family. He was born January of 2013 and his special need is postoperative meningeal encephalocele at the neck and occipital junction. Dustin’s information is from April of 2017. He really needs a new update. The information we have says the following: Dustin has a sunny disposition. His physical condition is good. He is energetic and can move well. As to cognitive ability, he can understand and answer “when” and “how” which indicates he has the concept of “time” and “state of affairs”. As to language ability, he basically can master the use of “up, down, front, back, outside” and can state what he sees in a picture. As to the aspect of gross motion, he has a good sense of balance and coordination. He can walk and run powerfully and confidently, He can go up and down stairs without holding the rails, can stand on his tiptoes, can turn around and jump back and forth in one circle. As to fine motion he can roll forward alone, can throw the ball to the other mate and can curve both arms to pick up the ball. He can use a spoon to eat alone and has a good appetite. He attends school. He sure sounds like a great kid!
