Alex is a 10 yr old boy who was adopted from the US foster care system. Alex is very helpful around the house. He wakes up cheerful, makes his bed, takes a shower and dresses himself. He keeps his room very clean and organized, and enjoys cleaning projects around the house as well as yardwork and helping clean out the cars. He loves to read books—he has numerous reader awards from school. He also enjoys swimming, basketball, bike riding, drawing, and playing with legos. Alex gets A’s and B’s in school; he is in the 5th grade.
Alex is very talkative and inquisitive. He loves to learn about new things and asks LOTS of questions! He loves to snuggle and craves affection.
Alex’ current family has brought him far in his healing journey. We are partnering with them now to find an adoptive family who will continue to help him become a successful and healthy adult.
We have more information available about Alex. Please email us back if you would like to see copies of this child’s additional records and learn more about Him. Email [email protected]
We cannot place a child into a home that already has children within 2 yrs of the SC child’s age. For Alex, this means no other children in the home between the ages of 8-12 unless you have adopted before and have good experience in adopting older kids.
This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in FL, CT, MA, or DE.
Adoption is a legal process so there are costs for this adoption including traveling to his state for a couple days to bring him home. This adoption qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
