Please meet handsome Ned. He was born April of 2007. The information we have about him is from September of 2021 although we expect to have new information including video in a few weeks. Ned had been in the adoption center for only about three months at the time of this report. He was previously in a foster home. He says he feels better and calmer there than at the foster parents. Currently he is in the 8th grade. He likes going to school. He hopes to not have to study remotely this year and find new friends at the new school. This school offers free driving lessons to students and Ned really wants to complete the lessons as his dream is to be a taxi driver. When asked why a taxi driver, he answered “because it’s nice to drive people where they want to go”. English is also taught at this high school and Ned says he will study well because if he wants to be adopted, he will need English. Ned does not have many friends at this time although he rooms with an older boy, and they get along well. He rarely shows aggression. In his free time Ned likes to play soccer. He enjoys watching action or adventure movies. He likes to play video games with cars and with building houses. He likes to listen to music on YouTube. Ned’s favorite color is red. He likes Audi and Ferrari cars. Ned is said to be very healthy The interviewers impression is that Ned has a really great desire to be adopted and emphasized it several times during the visit. He answered all questions. He expresses himself completely and correctly. Ned has had a traumatic childhood and needs a family who has experience with trauma and can get him supportive psychological help as well. He only has a year left to be able to be adopted to the U.S. We hope the right family comes forward very soon!
