Description
Meet Miles!
Meet Miles: He is a young boy who is 10 years old. We call him Miles because we need to keep his name private.
We are looking for a single dad or a two-parent family (including double dads) who are home study ready (or has one that can be updated quickly) with no other children in the home or other children under the age of 12.
Miles was adopted from the USA foster care system when he was 3. His parents say they are looking for a new family that will be a positive influence on him. He has not bonded with his parents. The family says he has trauma from his early childhood and they feel that they can no longer provide a safe environment for their other child and really want to find a home where Miles can thrive
Miles likes to play outside. He enjoys riding his bike. He wants to play soccer and basketball. He enjoys crafts such as painting and diamond art. He loves his Hot Wheels cars, his fidget toys and stuffed animals.
He is currently being homeschooled and doing well. He does have an IEP from the school district.
Please understand that this is only a snippet of the child’s information. Please email us at kidteenadoptions@wiaa.org to inquire.
This is a private adoption, so a state or foster care home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. You will need a current, updated or new home study for this adoption.
Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, NY, FL or DE. If you live in WI, we can do placements but they have a few requirements that include visits with the child beforehand. If you live in OR, you may need to travel to the child’s state to finalize the adoption.
If you haven’t started your home study, please contact us for information on how to begin one. However, if we have home study ready families for this child, we will consider them first. Therefore, if you are willing to take a child between the ages of 8 and 15, we suggest you begin the process as soon as possible.
We know that adopting a child over the age of 8 is going to be difficult, but we feel confident that there are parents of all types, single men and women, traditional couples and same-sex couples out there who love kids and would love to add them to their families.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated with them. This adoption may qualify for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
If you fit what we are looking for, please write to us and request his full information. Our email is kidteenadoptions@wiaa.org
