Description
Eric is a 14-year-old boy adopted from Eastern Europe. He was in an orphanage from birth until the age of 12. He was born with Arthrogryposis and has been diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome.
Eric is almost always smiling and has a happy disposition. He enjoys puzzles music, people watching, going to school and church and sorting things in drawers. He loves attention and engaging in conversation. He can do simple chores and simple tasks. Eric does well with structure and enjoys being in school and community events that are set up for him. He sleeps well and eats well. He can bathe, toilet, and dress himself. He is self-sufficient physically around the home. His disabilities mean he will always need assistance in a home. Eric qualifies for Developmental Disability services.
We know that adopting a child over the age of 13 could be difficult, but we feel confident that there are parents of all types out there who love kids and would love to add them to their families.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated with them. There are grants out there to help fund your adoption (please request that information.) This adoption may qualify for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
