This sweet boy is Dion and he was born November of 2018. Unfortunately this little guy has many physical odds stacked against him including the fact that he is living in an orphanage known for their extreme lack of care for the children. Dion was born with hydrocephalus and has had a shunt placed for that. In September of 2020, his caregivers said the following: Dion makes chaotic movements with his hands and legs. When placed on his abdomen or picked up he does not attempt to raise his head although he will turn it towards the sound of a rattle but not toward human speech. It is suggested that he corresponds to the development of a 3 month old baby. Dion will relax when he is held and will become calm and even produce a small smile when his face is caressed. Dion is fed with a feeding tube. His diagnosis includes profound delay in neuro psychic development, symptomatic epilepsy and cortical blindness. This little guy needs to be rescued as quickly as possible and given the attention and love he deserves!
