Please meet Alice. She was born February of 2010. Her diagnoses is Childhood Autism with Hyperkinetic Behavior. Alice is said to have normal physical development but has fairly low functioning mental development. Although Alice can move normally, she lacks good coordination. She can hold a pencil with her hand but does not have a stable grip. She does not have a good attention span and is easily distracted. She does understand explanations. Alice can communicate in various ways but her speech is just repetitive sounds. She prefers order and is afraid of a change in her environment. She has repetitive actions such as rubbing and waving hands and jumping. She likes to listen to the same song and dances to it. We hope a family with a knowledge of Autism can be found to adopt Alice and help her to be the best she can be.
