Information About Liberia Adoptions
Abandoned children are picked up by the police and placed into orphanages. Boys and girls are available and all of these children desperately need a family to care for them.
What are the requirements for Liberia Adoptions?
Adoptive parents must meet the following requirements:
- Persons must be able to provide care for the child until the child turns 18 years of age.
- Persons must be 25 years of age and at least 15 years older than the child they wish to adopt.
- Persons must be mentally, physically, emotionally, morally and financially capable of caring for the child.
- Persons must not have been convicted of a felony or serious crime.
- Married and single persons are allowed to adopt.
What children are available for adoption?
- The children may have health needs from minor to major.
- There are both boys and girls available.
- The children’s ages may range from 4 years old to teenagers children.

How are child matches done?
Kingdom Love Foundation in Liberia will be assigned children by the Ministry of Gender, Children & Social Protection,
Republic of Liberia. Matches may be made for paperwork ready families as the children become available. Other waiting children are listed here.
Do I need to travel to Liberia?
Yes, one trip to Liberia is required in order to complete the adoption and pick up the child. The adopting parents must appear at the Courts to sign the paperwork required to register and finalize the adoption. Once this paperwork has been signed, the child you adopt will be yours and you are then legally responsible to support and care for them. The time spent in Liberia is approximately 15 days.
