Description
Meet Sam!
*Sam is 10 years old and was adopted internationally when he was 4 years old.
Sam’s family reports that he is ‘truly a good boy with a big heart’. He loves Italian foods: pizza and pasta! He really enjoys putting in headphones to listen and dance around to Rock or Christian music. He enjoys outside activities like running, hiking, bike riding, and sports—he doesn’t really like to swim. His adopted mom says, “He’s a joy to be around”. He is happy, obedient, out-going and fun-loving. He enjoys playing games on his handheld DS. He is a loving kid whom everyone likes. He has a great personality!
Sam is going into the 4th grade and his grades are mostly A’s and B’s; with C’s and D’s in Math. He can read, and write in paragraphs. His teacher says, “He tries his best and is working hard in class”. His speech is a bit delayed and he is in speech therapy.
We cannot place a Second Chance (SC) child into a home that already has children within 2 yrs of the SC child’s age. We would also like for Sam to be the youngest child in his new adoptive family, so we are looking for a family with no other children in the home under age 12. Please write to us!
This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, or DE. If you have never had a homestudy before, we cannot help you adopt this child. But, we would love to share with you the process of starting a homestudy so you could be approved for a child in the near future. Please write to us and ask us how to get started!
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated. This adoption qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
