Description
Kylie is a 10-year-old girl adopted from foster care. She 4’4”, 65 lbs, and has brown eyes and brown hair, and has dimples when she smiles.
Kylie is creative and loves to play outside. She enjoys gymnastics, riding bikes, arts and crafts, animals, reading, dress up, and dolls. She is good at expressing her feelings. She is shy at first but once she warms up, she is very outgoing.
Kylie is smart and enjoys math, science, and reading. She loves school, loves her friends, and loves her teachers, although she does struggle sometimes to stay on task in the classroom. Her teachers say that Kylie is helpful, enthusiastic, and enjoys being with the other kids. She enjoys listening to music; she will sing, hum, and dance to music.
Kylie would do well in a family where she will receive one on one attention. She would do well where she is the only child or the youngest by years. They are open to any type of parent relationship: heterosexual, same-sex, or single parent. The single parent will need a strong support system or respite. Her parents hope for Kylie is that she finds a home that better fits her needs and personality, so that she has a hope for success.
We know that adopting a child over the age of 9 could be difficult, but we feel confident that there are parents of all types out there who love kids and would love to add them to their families.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated with them. There are grants out there to help fund your adoption (please request that information.) This adoption may qualify for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
