Description
Meet Addie!
Hello, I’d like you to meet “Addie”. We call her Addie because we need to keep her name private. She is a 10-year-old girl that was adopted internationally and is in need of a new home. We are looking for a heterosexual couple or single mother. The family believes Addie would do well in an African American family but this is not a requirement. Addie would do best as an only child due to her behaviors and attention needs, however she does get along well with younger children and would likely enjoy a bond with a sibling. The family would prefer that the new family live in the United States since Addie has culturally acclimated to the states. They have no preference as to the employment or age of the adoptive parent(s). KidTeen Adoptions prefers that the adoptive family have a current home study (or one that can be quickly updated). If you fit what we are looking for, and are interested then, please write to us and request her full information. Here’s our email kidteenadoptions@wiaa.org
Addie has a vibrant personality and loves anything to do with musical theater/arts. She enjoys singing and dancing. She’s an active girl that enjoys playing outside, jumping on the trampoline or riding her bike. She loves animals and finds them therapeutic that she would benefit from having animals in her new home.
Addie’s behaviors have put a huge strain on her relationships and she is not thriving in her current family’s dynamics. She is a great girl that unfortunately needs a different family situation that her current family is unable to provide.
Please know that we only post a snippet of our children’s information. Email us to request her full story and situation. Please do not assume things based on this information alone.
This is a private adoption, so a state or foster care home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. You will need a current, updated or new home study for this adoption.
Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, NY, FL or DE. If you live in WI, we can do placements but they have a few requirements that include a few visits with the child beforehand. If you live in OR, you may need to travel to the child’s state to finalize the adoption.
If you haven’t started your home study, please contact us for information on how to begin one. However, if we have home study ready families for this child, we will consider them first. Therefore, if you are willing to take a child between the ages of 8 and 15, we suggest you begin the process as soon as possible.
We know that adopting a child over the age of 8 is going to be difficult, but we feel confident that there are parents of all types, single men and women, traditional couples and same-sex couples out there who love kids and would love to add them to their families.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated with them. This adoption may qualify for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
