Trevor was a private adoption from the U.S. when he was an infant. Then when he was a toddler, his adoptive father unexpectedly passed away leaving his mother with young children to raise by herself. Trevor is now 11 and his mother feels that he will do better with a strong, active dad in his life. He is an active boy and needs a dad who is active and has strength of character. Trevor is described as enthusiastic, energetic, liking new adventures, and debating.
Trevor is smart and carries on intelligent conversations with kids his age, older kids, and adults. Because of the stress on his mother who was suddenly parenting alone and has developed a chronic illness, Trevor and another child in the home have been attending boarding school. Trevor’s school is a boys’ school. Trevor is well liked at school, and especially loves sports. Trevor is liked by boys his age and older boys too. In the dorm each child has their own room.
Trevor gets A’s and B’s in all classes. His sports teacher said on his report card, “Trevor learned the rules of the games well, successfully participating in every meeting. Although a tough competitor with a desire to win, Trevor displayed an outstanding grasp of sportsmanship and fair play, often working to involve as many of his teammates as possible.”
We have evaluations on Trevor that show high scores in most areas. His IQ is at the higher end of average. We have report cards, many photos, and birth family records to share with you upon request.
Trevor tends to argue in favor of how he thinks things should be done. He can make a good argument and sometimes what he is suggesting is best. He is intelligent and a good problem-solver. His mother refers to his tendency to argue as “being a great litigator”. J
Trevor is great with animals. His boarding school has about 10 dogs and Trevor is kind to them. He has had absolutely no reported sexual behavior or incidents. He does not seem to have RAD and does not have rages or tantrums. He doesn’t have any current diagnoses as all his behavior falls into “within normal limits”. He tested borderline ADHD.
Trevor has been in boarding school and summer camp since he was fairly young and his adoptive mother would like to see him in a family again. She would not be in this position if it were not for the loss of her husband. She feels he needs a family to mature into a healthy adult.
Trevor likes to be the center of attention so it would be good if he were not adopted into a large family. However he is not a danger in any way to young children, so a family could have possible one or 2 younger children. As always we do not put children into a home where there is another child the same age.

This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, NV, or DE.
Adoption is a legal process so there are costs for this adoption. Email us at [email protected] to request Trevor’s records.
