Handsome Roman was born January of 2013. His special need is listed as a vascular malformation of the right lower limb and he has had quite a few surgeries on his leg. (we have photos of the condition we can share upon completion of our release form). An outdated report from 2017 says the following: Roman is able to put on his clothes, brush his teeth, wash his face and eat breakfast by himself. He listens to stories after breakfast and goes out to play when the weather is good. Roman is compliant. He has a best friend who is a few years older than him. They look like brothers. He likes playing with toy cars. He acts like a little “grownup” during quiet time. He is polite and has a shy smile when meeting the aunts and uncles who come to the center. Although he has a limp, he can go up and down stairs alone. He can jump off the ground with both feet. He can step on the floor with alternating feet. He can imitate drawing vertical lines and horizontal lines. He can pick up and throw the ball. He helps throw out the trash and can clear the table. He can unbutton and button and put on his clothing himself. He can respond to questions such as “why do we wash our hands” or “where do you live.” He is receiving speech training weekly as at this time he is only imitating words. He can recognize big and small, inside and outside and knows his left from his right. Roman really needs a written update but we do have videos below from August of 2019. Wouldn’t he be a great addition to your family?
