Pippa was adopted internationally at age 13 months with the referral saying she had a bilateral cleft lip and palate. After returning with Pippa, the parents learned that she had been left on her back in a crib for up to 23 hours out of a day. She was fed through a feeding tube. She is now age 5.
Pippa is a child with significant medical and cognitive needs and will need lifetime care. We would love to find a family who would be able to care for Pippa, to love and help her reach whatever potential she will have. We have a lot of information available on her. If you would like to receive additional information on her, please contact us at [email protected]
Due to the state laws, we are not able to place her in MO, NY, CT, MA, or DE.
This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study would not work unless they would release it for a private adoption. A private domestic or international home study would be required. There are no ongoing monthly subsidies with this adoption.
Adoption is a legal process so there are costs for this adoption. This adoption fully qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit. We would encourage families to seek grants through places like www.resources4adoption.com because Pippa’s special needs will probably help qualify her to grants.
