Description
A grant will cover ALL adoption fees for Noah.
*Meet Noah!
*Noah is 10 years old and was adopted domestically as the youngest of a sibling group of 5. There has been so much trauma in the home due to the older children that Noah has not been able to receive the individual attention he deserves. There are also unhealthy trauma bonds between all the children and Noah’s sweet and gentle soul has been trampled by these. His adopted parents tell us that he is the perfect candidate for a Second Chance—he is a wonderful child who deserves the opportunity to blossom without the hinderances of the trauma and memories associated with this home.
Noah craves the love and attention of both his mom and dad, and also does very well with siblings both older and younger, so we are hoping to find a traditional 2 parent home for him with no other kids between 9-12 to adopt him (he craves attention and needs to get his fill—so please, only 1 or two children under 9). Second Chance requires that our adoptive families have a current homestudy (or one that can be updated within a few weeks). If this fits your family, please write to us for his full profile. We would love to share with you the whole story of why this little boy needs a new adoptive home, as well as our process of being preapproved for a secondary adoption. Write to secondchanceinfo@wiaa.org .
Noah’s adopted parents told us he is a sensitive, loving, tender-hearted, curious, compassionate, inquisitive child who loves quality time with his family. He is a gentle, sweet child with animals and seems especially attuned to their needs and is appropriate with their care and handling. He loves to be a ‘helper’ to mom and dad, participating happily with any task they’re involved in. Noah loves the outdoors and would thrive with a brother or two to explore and play with outside. His parents tell us that Noah is a good friend and loves his peers.
Noah’s favorite colors are blue and orange. His favorite food is nachos. His favorite activity is quality time with his parents. He is a collector of treasures (sometimes junk) and likes to use things to design and create things. Noah is a flexible, adaptable, relaxed kid who does well in most environments.

This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. You will need to have a current, or easily-updated home study for this adoption.
Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, NY, or DE. If you live in WI, please let us know, as the adoption process may be longer and a bit more expensive than what is listed in our paperwork. If you have never had a home study before, we cannot help you adopt this child. But we would love to share with you the process of starting a home study so you could be approved for a child in the near future. Please write to us and ask us how to get started! If you are a U.S. citizen living overseas, we may be able to work with you depending on a few details.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated. A generous grant has been placed on this adoption which will cover all fees associated with it. This adoption may qualify for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.

*To protect the privacy of our waiting children and their families, Second Chance does not share real names for our waiting children on the Internet. It is our policy to only share a snippet of a waiting child’s details as well as the type of adoptive family we are looking for. If you fit the POSTED REQUIREMENTS, are home study ready (or can be soon!), and interested in adding this child to your family, please write to us for an honest, in-depth profile on the child including medical, educational, and behavioral information and learn the full story of why this child needs a secondary adoption. Our program social worker and program director have worked together with the child’s family to carefully set the requirements for the new family. These requirements are not negotiable, so please honor the needs of this child by not asking us to bend them for you.
