***UPDATED***
We are excited to receive such a positive update for Nelson. Our staff in Bulgaria met Nelson April of 2021 and upon meeting him said “he is the sweetest boy. He behaves absolutely normally and communicates very well. He is funny and he is smart. Our impressions from our visit with him are all good! “
His official update says that Nelson wants very much to have a family. He knew the attorney’s staff was making videos and pictures with this purpose. He said that he would love if in his adoptive family there are pets like dogs, cats or other animals. The fact that the family would be talking to him in a foreign language is not a problem for him and he knows that he may need to study a foreign language while waiting for his adoptive parents to come and pick him up. He says he is ok with that as he knows that this will help with his fast adaptation when he goes home with his adoptive parents. He says he will willingly learn the new language as he wants to be able to talk to mommy and daddy! At school he loves being involved in sports the most. He is an active boy and loves playing outside in the yard. He studies English and he succeeded to tell the staff the numbers from 1 to 11. He answered correctly to the question in English, “What is your name?“. He loves the Bulgarian language more than Math. Nelson was very enthusiastic to read to me from a book he picked up for the first time. His reading is more monotonous (he has not yet mastered the intonation and the punctuation marks). Also, if we have not stopped him, he was ready to read for a long time.
We have a lot more information and picture of Nelson. Please just ask us!

This handsome boy is Nelson. Nelson was born October of 2012. Information from January 2021 says the following. Nelson is in good health. He has well developed gross and fine motor skills. His intelligence is in line with others his age. He has good use of the Bulgarian language. He is communicative and makes contact with strangers easily. At times he shows verbal and physical aggression to other children in the group. He prefers individual games in which he tries to impose additional rules and improvises when retelling a story. He makes a good impression when first meeting others. He freely converses with adults and peers and shares his emotions and feelings. He is polite in his manners but continues to alienate his peers at times. He loves outdoor sports, organized group games, watching TV and listening to music. He is attending the Second Grade in Primary School. We expect new photos and videos soon. Don’t you think this sweet boy deserves a second chance for a family?!
