*Melody was adopted 2 years ago along with two younger siblings from Latvia. She is 12 years old and in the 5th grade (she’s a grade behind because she started school late in Latvia).
Melody is very athletic. She LOVES sports of all kinds, both team sports like soccer as well as individual sports like gymnastics. She is a good sport and enjoys working together with her teammates. She is the fastest runner in her grade. She also loves to read. One of her best traits is tenacity: she is brave and very hard working! She gets along with everyone both at school and home. She likes school and works very hard to get good grades.
We feel that Melody is a wonderful candidate for a Second Chance and are partnering with her parents to find an adoptive family who will continue to help her become a successful and healthy adult
We have lots more information available about Melody. Please email us back if you would like to see copies of her additional records and learn more about her. Email [email protected]
We cannot place a Second Chance (SC) child into a home that already has children within 2 years of the SC child’s age (so no other children between ages 10-14). We would also like Melody to be the only girl in her new family between the ages of 8-18. This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, MO, NY or DE.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated. This adoption qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
*not this child’s real name: we never use the child’s real name online to help protect his/her privacy!
