Marcus, age 6, was adopted from Africa a little over two years ago. He is a skinny but muscular kindergarten student. He is currently being homeschooled with the other children in his home.
Marcus needs assurance and trust that he is going to be loved and cared for. He needs a new adoption of a family who is stable, and who has no other children younger than age 8 or 9. His family should probably have adopted in the past.
The present family has 3 dogs, and Marcus tends to do quite well with them.
He loves to play with DuPlos, the large Legos. He is a typical boy who loves trucks, cars, and playing outside. He is not yet riding a 2 wheel bike.
We think Marcus is young enough and has the potential to do very well in a new home.

This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in FL, CT, MS, NV, ND or DE.
Adoption is a legal process so costs there are some costs and travel to OK state where he lives for a couple days to bring him home. This adoption qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit. If you pay federal taxes and make under $200k a year, you should qualify for this tax credit which will recover the money spent.
