Luca – Placed
*Luca recently turned 10 (12/18) and was adopted internationally when he was 5 years old. He somehow feels as though his adopted family kidnapped him from the orphanage and has not attached to them. Due to his good behavior outside the family home, they feel he is a great candidate for a new adoption. We are partnering with them to find a new adoptive family with a current home study (or one that can be easily updated), and no other children under the age of 12 in the home. If you fit these requirements and are interested in adopting Luca, please write us at [email protected] and ask for his full profile. We would love to send you info on how to be approved for a Second Chance adoption.
Luca’s parents say he can be obedient, funny, loving, compliant, happy, well-mannered, honest, respectful, easy-going, helpful, apologetic, pleasant, kind, generous, appropriately active and playful—a long list of great qualities! He enjoys camping with the family in their RV, travel, amusement parks, and helping his mom cook and clean. Yellow and blue are his favorite colors. He enjoys coloring, painting, play-doh, and looking at books. He LOVES all kinds of books and magazines and will spend hours looking at them. He is enrolled in ballet, jazz and tap and enjoys dancing. He likes to eat things like soup, eggs, vegetables, rice, noodles, hot tea, sweet tea, grits with soy sauce, Chick-fil-A, and spaghetti with marinara (he calls it red spaghetti)! His family says he is clean and orderly—he makes his bed every day, keeps his dresser neat and prefers orderliness to messiness. Luca likes to ride his bike and play outside. The family has dogs and cats–he loves them and they love him back!

This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. You will need to have a current, or easily-updated home study for this adoption. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, or DE. If you live in OR, you may need to travel to the child’s state to finalize this adoption. If you have never had a home study before, we cannot help you adopt this child. But we would love to share with you the process of starting a home study so you could be approved for a child in the near future. Please write to us and ask us how to get started!
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated. This adoption qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credits.
