He is a slender handsome boy who turns 10 in February. He was adopted from an African country 3 years ago. He has Cerebral Palsy and uses a wheelchair and walker to get around outside the home.
His family is working with Second Chance to find a new adoptive family for him because of his inability to attach properly to them. His current family has worked very hard to help him learn to be more independent physically and also to communicate his needs. They feel that with the skills he’s acquired so far, he has so much potential to thrive in a new adoptive family.
Levi is very friendly and not shy at all. He gets along well with everyone. He is kind to animals and people. He loves to be right in the middle of whatever is going on, and his current family feels that he will do wonderful in a large family with a lot of activity going on, as long as the family has the time and energy to invest in his continued learning both physical and especially mentally. He has a good sense of humor and loves to laugh!
Levi loves to be involved with outside activities including riding his Big Wheel bike, bouncing on the trampoline and playing in the pool.
If you write to us for more information on Levi, we will send you video links that show how well he feeds himself, gets around the house, interacts with others and demonstrates how well he knows his colors and numbers. He has a communication device that he uses mostly in school that we will tell you more about too.
Levi will need to have to occupational and physical therapies. We are hoping to find a new two-parent faith-based adoptive family for Levi. This new family will hopefully have at least several other children (we do not have any age requirements for children in the new home as we usually do with Second Chance children). He will thrive in a large family with lots of activity going on!
We have more information available about Levi. Please email us back if you would like to see copies of this child’s additional records and learn more about him. Email [email protected]
This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, MO, or DE.
Adoption is a legal process so fees will apply. Contact us at [email protected] for more information on this handsome boy!
