*Erin is 8 ½ years old and was adopted out of US foster care 2 years ago.
Erin is outgoing and personable. She has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh. She is curious, creative, friendly, and artistic. She is a natural born leader who loves to lead groups of kids in games. She is always fair and inventive as she looks for ways to keep everyone in the game and keep the game going. She enjoys being outside as much as possible. Swimming, swinging, running, any and all outside sports make her so happy! She has lots of energy and laughs the whole time she’s playing. Being outside fills her with joy. She has a great imagination and enjoys building things with Legos too—especially houses. She enjoys expressing her emotions through art—painting and drawing with pencils and markers. Erin makes and keeps friends easily.
Erin loves to snuggle and sit close for attention. She sleeps well at night and is dry. Her family has cats and dogs and she is always sweet to them. Erin is remarkably empathetic and attentive to others with a strong desire to help if she believes they are sad or hurt.
Erin is in the 2nd grade in public school. Her report cards say she is progressing well, and we will send them to you if you ask for her full profile.
We think that in a new family environment, one where Erin can either be the youngest by a few years, or be the only child at home, would be a perfect choice for her. We are partnering with her parents to find a new adoptive home for Erin with no other children under the age of 10.
This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, MO, NY or DE. If you live in FL please let us know right away as there may be additional costs due to legal issues. Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated. This adoption qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
