Addie – Placed
*Addie just turned 8 and was adopted from an Eastern European country.
Addie is creative and sensitive. She likes to wear clothes and jewelry that coordinates with her outfit. She loves different kinds of boots, slippers, and dress shoes with her outfits. She also likes to dress up her baby dolls with fancy clothes. Addie enjoys being read to (especially books about being a fancy girl or princess) and looking through magazines. She enjoys putting together girly or animal-scene puzzles with more than 250 pieces. She will sit for hours to complete one. Addie likes to help in the kitchen, baking things like cookies and cakes. She does a good job with her personal responsibilities that include: making her bed, cleaning up the bathroom after her shower, folding and putting away her own laundry! She always wants to show you her success, and enjoys hearing your approval for her well-done job. Addie likes to color and use stickers for art. She loves art projects such as making bracelets, putting together small wooden projects, and using mosaic patterns for coloring dot-to-dot. Charlie Brown movies are her favorite and she has a large collection!
She is usually aware of when someone else is upset or needs a friend to play with. She will bring out her toys to share with other kids. Sometimes, if there is a scary or sad part in a movie, she will ask for you to speed through the sensitive part. She can identify what these emotions are, and will voice them when she feels them. Addie is lactose intolerant. She is kind and sweet to pets.
Addie will do best in a new adoptive home with either a traditional (dad and mom) 2 parent family or maybe a non-traditional family with 2 dads. A single mom will not be approved for her adoption. We feel she would do well with a crafty girlie-girl mom and some older sisters who can help her explore her sassy girly side! We are looking for a family with no other children under age 10.
If you fit the requirements listed in this profile (no other children under 10 and no single moms), and are interested in learning more about Addie and the process of being approved for her adoption, please write us back and ask for her “full profile”. We’d love to share the rest of her info with you!
This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, NY or DE.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated. This adoption qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
