Ethiopia continues to be a wonderful adoption program and a great option for families interested in adopting young children from Africa. We work with an amazing organization that has wonderful orphanages in Ethiopia. We currently have several families who have recently returned from Ethiopia with their adopted children. They were so pleased with this program and several have applied to adopt another child from Ethiopia. One really positive thing about adopting from this country is that once the paperwork is sent to Ethiopia families usually can complete the adoption process in about 12 months. **Note: Upon request, WIA will disclose the following: Service policy Contracts, the number of adoption placements per year for the prior 3 calendar years, the number of placements that remain intact, the number of families who apply to adopt each year, and the number of waiting children eligible for adoption.
