*Sage was adopted from US foster care. He is 8 years old. He has not attached to his adoptive family and they have made the very difficult decision to find him a better-fitting adoptive family.
Sage is described by his family as very smart. He can easily get the highest grade in his class on any assignment. When he wants to, he zooms through his homework very quickly and never gets any wrong answers. He loves to play outside, and recently learned how to ride a 2-wheel bike. He enjoys going to the park, and dressing up as super hero’s or police/firemen. He loves to dance to music with a beat—learning a musical instrument or taking dance classes may be something he’d enjoy. He also enjoys helping cook and bake. He loves to laugh at America’s Funniest Home Videos. He can do a 100-piece puzzle in just a few minutes. He eats well at home, and likes nearly all foods.
In school, Sage is at grade-level, and his teachers report he is quite intelligent. He is a wonderful reader. He is ahead in math and seems to genuinely enjoy going to school.
Sage sleeps well at night. He goes to bed easily and is dry at night.
We feel that Sage needs to be the youngest by several years in his new family (no other children under the age of 12 please), with 2 parents would be the best for him.

This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, NY, or DE.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated. This adoption qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit
