*Jamie was adopted from an Asian country. She is 8 years old.
Jamie is a girlie-girl who loves to dance and sing with her karaoke machine, and do all kinds of crafts like making potholders on a loom, stringing beads for jewelry, and drawing/coloring. She enjoys reading Junie B. Jones and Fancy Nancy books. She can be found giggling and laughing behind the cover of any Diary of a Wimpy Kid book! Jamie is talkative and likes to tell stories and jokes to anyone willing to listen. She’s good at following directions to build fancy Lego pieces. She is a great swimmer, and a good artist. During quiet time in the evening, you will always find her curled up with her dog and a good book. She enjoys taking her dog for walks and is always kind and appropriate to him. Jamie is in the 3rd grade in school.
We think Jamie will do well in a new adoptive family with a crafty, girlie-girl mom who has patience and can give Jamie lots of positive attention. A stay-at-home mom or one whose job does not interfere with being home when Jamie’s out of school would be best. As far as other children in the new adoptive home, Jamie needs a lot of attention, so being the youngest by quite a few years would be nice for her. If you have no other children under 13, and plenty of time to devote to this little one, we’d love to tell you the process of being approved for her adoption.
This is a private adoption, so a state or foster home study might not work. A state authorized private domestic or international home study is generally required. Due to state laws, we are not able to place this child in CT, MA, NY or DE.
Adoption is a legal process so there will be costs associated. This adoption qualifies for the IRS Adoption Tax Credit.
